The ONYX roe hoe is designed to easily achieve an accurate and consistent work throughout the whole plot. The weeding efficiency is achieved even at high working speed, with or without guidance system depending on the row’s width, and starting from 12.5cm for cereals.Its structure has been engineered from scratch for sturdiness, guarantee of long lasting accuracy across heavy duty use.
Accuracy, as a chain, does not suffer a weak link. From the hitch to the tine, every organ of the machine features decisive innovation (modular tine-holders, tapered pins, hydraulic transport locks, etc.) for a proven and lasting effect.Thus the Onyx row hoe maintains its unusual performances for years, even though it is used in the new farming systems, which are much more demanding.
The double H-shaped beam offers a maximal sturdiness and allows a firm fixation of the hoeing elements.
The parallelograms are fitted with polymer bushings tapered pins for the tine’s exemplary in-row stability and total preservations of the crop’s plants.
They are adjustable both in depth and pressure, and feature the exclusive X-control.
This preloaded springs-based system performs a load transfer from the frame to the teeth.
This results in any backlash or bouncing of elements being excluded: the working depth being absolutely constant, which is essential for the effectiveness of flatbed weeding when done at shallow depth.
X-Control parallelograms can be fitted without restriction anywhere along the beam, providing suitable row spacing for every crop starting from 12.5 cm for cereals.
From 3 to 12 meter wide, with mechanical or ISOBUS hydraulic X-Control parallelogram, ONYX row hoes are assembled on variable width chassis: 3m up to 4m, 4m up to 7m, 8m up to 12m.
The LYNX guidance interface features a top-of-the-technology colour scanner camera allowing mechanical weeding in higher vegetation.
Depending on the farm’s or contractor’s needs, the independent interface allows operating different attached row hoes, according to the crops to be weeded.
So the investment made in the self-guidance system is more valuable, as it is dedicated to various row hoes and not just a single one.
Hydraulic control of hoeing elements: One-to-one hydraulic adjustment of parallelograms from the cab. Row by row, manual or GPS shut-off, for total preservation of the growing plants, even in the field points and headlands.
Allow an effective operation over the whole plot, including headlands, without any harm to the plants located in cross seeding rows.
Fully configurable and automated, does not require the driver’s attention when operating, and relieves them from stress of damaging their plants at some places. Allows to automatically dodge some pre-defined areas providing a true precision operation, even with poor visibility or high vegetation.
Result: In every situation, 100% of the plot is being hoed, 100% of the growing crop is being preserved.
The row hoe is delivered either with:
- straight tines, adjustable in height, fitted with crow’s feet shares (3 sizes available) or Lelièvre blades for accurate shallow depth scalping with lesser earth moving
- or vibrant tines with half-heart-shaped, heart-shaped or ridger shares for ridging and covering weeds.
In addition, the row hoe can be fitted with opening discs, Kress fingers, plant-protection discs, rear comb harrow or hydraulic sensor for guidance.
